Quick Term 4 - Stitch

For Quick write this Term Mrs Fonu gave us an image to write about, we had to make sure that we included everything from adjectives to smiles & titles.

Rain life Cycle

In week 3 this term the year 7's in rm 12 had to write a explanation of how a rain cycle works. we used pobblet to create each step of how the water cycle works.

Keep calm and Fire and Ace on

Rm 12 created a poster  showing our goals for Fire and Ace and we drew them onto template papers, A Ace logo for Ace and a flame for Fire.

African mint tart crisp

We created a video about our our mint crisp tart to present for our assembly.

Do we need to eat healthy?...

For homework this week I did writing and the Year 7's had to write an explanation is to why eating healthy is important and I thought to myself what would be a good sentence starter and so I thought of a great idea, what if I started off with a question. Let's see if i have a good sentence starter shall we.

Miss Siale asked Rm 12 to be creative and to create our own news letter for cross country.

So I got creative and I created a news letter and you might even see my news letter handed out to classes.

Happy Tongan language week!

This week is Tongan language week and we are celebrating by performing some Tongan traditions and playing Tongan music, also wearing puletaha's which are Tongan dresses.
Shot to the boys for an amazing performance and for the girls for learning a dance one day away from the performance, thanks to Miss Siale who taught us.

Aretha Franklin

For homework we needed to find out things about Aretha Franklin. Did you know that she actually died this year and that she has made songs that have special meanings and messages in them which is why I love her especially her one song RESPECT.

Comradeship card

For reading converses task was to do companionship cards and I read a interesting story that actually related to bulling.

What super power would you have ?

For quick write we had to write down what super power or super hero would you want to be for a full 24hour and we learned that you always make sure that every open questions ends with a closed answer.

Thomas Edison

For homework I made a google slide about Thomas Edison, I had to find out what he does where he lives and things that relate to him.

I hope you learn some interesting facts about him as well.

           

E-Ako time

For independent work for maths we needed to complete 2 or more tasks and so I picked E-Ako  winch is my last task to finish off.

Whos hungry for food around the world ?

For  inquiry we needed to complete a food around the world and we needed to pick a continent and so I chose Africa, then we had to add the country in it and it's flag, we also had to search what they eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert.

T3 quick write

For quick write we had to look at a picture and we needed to describe it and write about it. Including the languages features and more.

                                   

Maths week !

For maths week we needed a buddy or a group of 3 and we had to complete to different levels.

                                          

Wildfire storm

For reading we had to do dogo news on wildfire's that has happened in Shasta county. We had to read the information they gave us and we need to answer the question that they give us.

                            

Rm 12 Ice-Break

For a exercise game miss showed us how to play Ice break. We had so much fun. Some of us didn't really have the confidence but we still had a few laughs in the end. I picked the Tongan flag because even though I was born in NZ I am still a proud Tongan.

For our finale home work of Term 2 we had to write a paragraph about this prompt for writing. The prompt was I woke up at 3am and i saw a shadow at the end of my bed...  This is my paragraph hope you find it interesting#

Holidays yay !

Yay !!

I still miss school and the people as well ! 😢

The holidays has arrived and it's time for us students and teachers to have a rest and a time off for themselves. On the last day Rm 12 and 11 had a fun kiwi can session and we had a great big feast at the end. The middle and senior syndicate had to say good bye to 2 hard working teacher, Mr Fa'aalili and Whaea Pene. We hope that you both have a safe holiday as for Rm 12 and Miss Siale which we will not be calling her anymore 😉. And to all of GTS students and teachers may you have a fun & safe holiday and we will see you back in Term 3 , make sure to come on the first day !!

Arctic Rabbits !!

Rom 12 learned a lot about arctic animals and Miss SIale sen those who weren't here at school and he had to watch a video showing us how to right a report about something or someone. My animal is a arctic Rabbit.

Buddies class was fun !

On Thursday room 12's Buddy class witch was room 3 had fun and we had #
to do a review on our buddy and my baddie was Junior. 

Let's play prodigy !!

When it is time for math's and every time when we finish all the work or tasks we need to finish we play this math's game called Prodigy. Prodigy is a math's game when you can create your own character (Avatar) You can battle wizards, creatures even your own classmates. When you are in a battle you have spells that you need to earn and when you need to cast a spell you have to answer some questions you only get 2 try's if you get it right you can cast your spell but if not you miss the shot. You can also win some prizes if you win and you can by new merch for your avatar.

Didn't do well maybe next time

Room 12 had a typing test exerciser and I did not do well I got 39 with no errs which is good but I want my results to go higher. Let's see if you can go pass my score.

Room 12 is excited that Term 2 has finally arrived and we have

Room 12's incredible Diamante

 Room 12 is Celebrating Anzac by making our tables into trenches and we has to work under neath. Some people survived and some let's just say did not make it.

Have a Happy Anzac and make sure to wear your poppy.

Times table chart

One of our warm up games we play this morning was that we had to create a times table chart and Miss Siale would time it and we all had to try and complete and fill in the boxes and when we finished we had to scream well not scream but shout out DONE! and miss will tell you your time that you have finished. After that we had to check our answers and if we get them all right then we get 500 points for our group but if you get even one incorrect you get no points.

Holidays!

The last day of school was amazing. There was egg, glitter, water balloon & sports included.

We had so much fun but I was not able to get photos on the day.

I hope that Glen Taylor School will have a safe and fun holiday.
I already miss Rm 12 already especially Miss Siale. Loves to all Rm 12 people.
